KYOI SAMUI – ARCHITECTUREKoh Samui, Thailand 2020Our beachfront design is made of 3 contrasting parcels that create varying experiences for the guests of this 145 room new build hotel. The pavilions of the beach club take inspiration from the elegance and form of giant lilies. The dynamic blade walls of the typical blocks grow from the ground, providing privacy whilst opening up to the sea views and enveloping the central zen garden. The rear section of the site is home to the co-working space and 2 contrasting spa designs, all set around a cascading water garden. In keeping with the Kyoi brand, further inspiration has been drawn from minimalist Japanese architecture and landscape design.  |
