HA LONG BEACH BAR CONCEPTSBai Chay, Ha Long, Vietnam - 2019Two new beach bars positioned at different locations along the newly built Bai Chay Beach promenade, each 500m² in size. Combined with a cafe, restaurant and water sports centre, these internal spaces integrate with external beach sports areas and public beach facilities. Inspired by the Ha Long mountain peaks that intertwine with the sea, the undulating roofs grow organically from the ground forming a close connection with both the hard and soft landscaping. Alternative options explored the idea of the facilities forming a necklace of accommodation around the external sporting areas like a miniature stadium, undulating and taking the form of the sand itself. |
